A medal in honor of Eng. Dr. Osmane AIDI
When he received the medal, Dr. Osmane AIDI said addressing himself to his
Beatitude Patriarch Ignatius 4th :
I am honored to be decorated with this medal which I
am proud of, and to be blessed by his Beatitude. What I have done is the
least of what one can do as a contribution to such a project. Words
cannot express what goes in my mind because this is a big day for me,
and I am proud of it.

Balamand
University
an opinion of Ghassane Tweini
In the inauguration ceremony of AIDI building which
was decided to become the Faculty of Sciences and Technology in the
University of Balamand, Professor Ghassane Tweini referred to the
symbols which this college presents :
First of all it is a faculty of sciences in a university that set out
from a theological institute, secondly it is a gift from a Muslim who
believes in God to a university which is considered as an orthodox
participation in the national education which the Greek church wanted to
be, generation after generation, laic that unites not one that divides,
it is also a reviving of the memory of a national educational school,
next to the Omayyade mosque in Damascus in a street that has the name of
Ahmad Mounif AIDI, the National Scientific College of Damascus.
