The exhibition was organized in cooperation with the Arab World
Institute, Osmane Mounif AIDI
Foundation for Heritage, Culture and Sciences and the Antioch House, a specialist in preserving ecclesiastic
arts in Syria and Lebanon.
The exhibition included an exceptional collection of
more than 84 icons from ancient Syria (Bilad Al-Cham), in addition to
rare scripts from different eras. |

It witnessed the great role which
Aleppo played through its many schools of the art of icons, and the impact which its many artists made on this art for many
generations .
The exhibition projected the vitality which distinguished the Arab Christian
art and its capability of assuming different methods which were present
in the Arab Orient, and employing them in the creation of
religious-artistic work.
