The Arab Language Academy in Damascus did not have a lecture hall, and
the hall determined for this purpose was in skeletal
form and remained as such for years, therefore "Osmane Mounif AIDI Foundation for Heritage, Culture and Sciences",
coated the hall according to a plan prepared by the
architect Mr. Mohamad Al Farra, which took care of stressing
all Islamic and Damascene, wood and marble decorative
arts, Arabic decoration, and Arabic calligraphy on wooden
panels of windows.
The hall was equipped with the most modern lighting
and sound devices, and an appropriate independent entrance
to it was created. A plaque was set at the entrance
of important guests with the following lines on it :
