Damascus February 2006

This event, the first of its kind in Syria, sponsored by Foundation Osmane Mounif AIDI for Culture, Communication and Development, was like signing a common work document between innovators in all domains of arts, with view of ascending them in mind and in work, in a step towards creating a new spirit within the intellectual and artistic produce, and all what contributes in forming our cultural and intellectual identity.

    
A view upon Arabic Architecture
It is under this title, that the magazine of Architectural Creations held the
First Festival of Arabic Architecture, with as a goal :
- Asserting the relation between architecture and the cultural identity of the people,
   and confirming the idea that architecture is one of the human arts,
   shaping an important part of the intellectual and artistic heritage of the people and being
   an important element in its cultural identity.
- Honoring whomever participates in a work that establishes the understanding of the tie between
   the reality of architecture and the concept of architecture by awarding them certificates of appreciation.
- Shedding light upon the experience of others in Arabic and foreign countries to benefit from them and their opinions.
- Shedding light on the negative and positive reality of Arabic Architecture.
